![]() Fifteen years later, the two are officially married and become the parents of the New Thunderkittens. Through the course of healing their trauma, Tygra and Cheetara start an intimate relationship with each other. In the WildStorm comics "ThunderCats: The Return," Tygra heals the emotional wounds of Cheetara after they are freed from their five-year captivity. So much so that Lipton reprised the role of Cheetara for the "Family Guy" direct-to-video movie "Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story," which also included Larry Kenney reprising his role as Lion-O.Īlthough Lion-O and Cheetara have their moments together in the original series, Tygra is typically portrayed as Cheetara's one and only beau. While other talented women have voiced Cheetara, such as Emmanuelle Chriqui in the 2011 reboot and Erica Lindbeck in "ThunderCats Roar," Lipton will always be seen as the definitive voice of the character. Season 1 consists of 65 episodes, so the fact that Lipton voiced literally every non-male-presenting character on the show is an incredible accomplishment. Thankfully, Gerrianne Raphael took on some of the workload when she joined the cast as Pumyra. Lipton didn't just voice Cheetara, she voiced every female character who appears in the first season of "ThunderCats," including WilyKit, Mandora, Willa, Ro-Bear-Belle, the Vampire Mermaid, and many others. Lynne Lipton, an American film, stage, television, and voice actress was the woman behind the roars. Only after Cheetara explains to Lion-O that the race drained her superspeed and his determination gave him an edge does he finally accept the outcome.Įveryone knows the look of Cheetara, but not enough has been said about the voice of Cheetara. At first, Lion-O doesn't believe he triumphed honestly and accuses Cheetara of letting him win, which upsets her as it goes against the code of Thundera. When they run alongside each other at the end of the episode, Lion-O is able to outpace Cheetara thanks to his determination to win the race. Most importantly, her incredible speed cannot outmatch a strong will for victory. After that, Cheetara runs as fast as any ThunderCat. For starters, her speed only lasts for a short period of time. ![]() However, as Episode 42 of the original "ThunderCats" demonstrates, Cheetara's amazing agility is not without its disadvantages. ![]() It comes as no surprise that Lion-O sweats bullets when he learns that one of his trials to become the official leader of the ThunderCats is a race against Cheetara. After all, she is based on the cheetah, the fastest land animal on Earth. If there's one thing that Cheetara has going for her, it's her speed. ![]()

Don't use damaged accessories. To prevent the problem the phone should be kept in a clean pocket, or in my case, where my pockets just aren't clean, I will keep the socket covered with a bit of gaffer's tape when not in use.Follow these steps and try again after each step: The solution is to clean the socket out gently with a flexible plastic tool, such as the toothpick in a Swiss army knife, so that you do not damage the pins. I suspect that if a little dirt gets in the hole, pushing the plug into the socket compacts the dirt into a flat layer, and if enough dirt gets in there, the plug will no longer connect. Finally, I pulled out a large piece of pocket lint. I continued this and after I made a good start, a lot of debris came out. Then I tapped the phone on a piece of white paper and saw some debris (dirt) come out of the hole. I took the flexible plastic toothpick out of a Swiss army knife and gently scraped the bottom of the socket with the tip. Visual inspection with a flashlight but no magnification didn't show much except that the socket hole was not as deep as it should be. Now if there truthfully is nothing in there go to the Apple Store! So I put the toothpick all they way in the "wax" and was able to scrape it out from there. In my experience there was a waxy thing stuck in it. Now it helps if every once in a while put the charger in to see if it goes in all the way. Go ahead and scrape around, if you pull the toothpick out and there's gunk on it keep scrapeing around to get the rest out. Get something small like a toothpick and carefully stick the toothpick in the port. If you do not see two little holes at the back of the port (or where you look directly into it) then there's something stuck in there. Grab a flashlight (I used my phones flashlight) and look into the port. By looking into the port it may look like "there's nothing" but don't be fooled. My mother experienced this exact problem where her charcher wouldn't go into the port (she has an iPhone 6s) She tried using different chargers and outlets but it seemed to not be the case. Like okra, sassafras also possesses a good deal of mucilage. First used by the Choctaw tribe of the American South as a spice, it was later adopted by Creole chefs as a thickening agent. No matter when it’s added, you can count on okra to provide body and flavor.įilé powder is a spicy, earthy seasoning made from dried and ground sassafras leaves. There are recipes that start with sauteed okra and recipes where it’s simmered for only the last fifteen minutes of the entire process. Like so many other aspects of gumbo, exactly when the okra is added isn’t clearly defined. This isn’t a great quality if you're sitting down to a mountain of boiled okra, but it’s a highly desirable characteristic when you want to thicken up your gumbo. In the case of okra (or kelp), heating increases the viscosity of mucilage of the plant, and the result is very gooey. Mucilage is edible, and its slimy or viscous characteristics make it perfect for demulcent or thickening applications. The structure of the mucilage found in okra looks like this : Some plants (such as okra, kelp and aloe vera) have noticeably higher concentrations than others. That goo is called mucilage, a polymeric (chain of repeating molecular structures) carbohydrate that is found in nearly all plants. If you’ve ever had boiled okra, you have undoubtedly noticed the thick and viscous goo that ruins an otherwise delicious bite. Unfortunately, okra is often maligned for the same properties that make it such a good thickener: its sliminess. ![]() The plant doesn’t just lend its name to this delicious dish, it gives it body. In the 1840s, when okra was just starting to be grown widely outside the coastal South, newspaper ads commonly offered seeds for 'Okra or Gombo.' 'Gombo' is still the French word for okra today.” ![]() Early on, the word was frequently used alongside 'okra' by English writers. “ In several West African languages, the word for okra is ki ngombo, or, in its shortened form, gombo. According to Robert Moss in his article for Serious Eats titled “ The Real Story of Gumbo, Okra, and Filé ,” the pod isn’t just responsible for the dish’s consistency, it’s responsible for the name: Though its exact place of origin is disputed, it is believed to have been brought to the Caribbean and U.S. Okra is a flowering plant of the mallow family with green edible seed pods. Much time could be spent discussing the geographical and cultural origins of this dish and its thickeners – even the origin of the name “gumbo” is still debated – but we are (of course) going to focus on how, from a chemical perspective, each of these agents increases the viscosity of this Louisiana staple. Some recipes only call for one, some for two, some all three, and there are as many ways to make gumbo as there are gumbo cooks. Each has a different origin, and each thickens in a different manner. When making gumbo, one has three different thickeners at their disposal: roux, filé powder, and okra. These ties are most apparent in the thickening agents. Perhaps better than any other single dish, gumbo highlights the intersectionality of southern food with clear ties to African, Native American, and European cultures. It is usually served over rice.īesides being absolutely delicious, it’s an interesting study in southern cuisine. No two bowls are the same, though it is commonly agreed upon that there should be (at the very least) a flavorful and aromatic stock, some sort of protein (usually meat or seafood, no pork unless it’s cured), seasonal vegetables (most commonly onions, bell peppers, and celery), and some sort of thickening agent. Louisiana’s state dish is uniquely its own thing, somewhere between a soup and stew without being either one. There is no right way to make gumbo, but there are definitely many wrong ways to make gumbo. Inventory management systems help businesses to track inventory levels, set reorder points, and generate reports. This process can be manual or automated, but it is essential for businesses that rely on inventory to keep their operations running smoothly. Inventory management is the process of keeping track of inventory levels and restocking as needed. Once the company has a method in place, they need to stick to using the same process. If you are unsure which method is best for your business, speak to your accountant. The most popular method is first in, first out. Should I use FIFO, AVCO or LIFO?Īs we looked at in the beginning, when accounting for stock, most businesses use either the first-in, first-out method or average cost. The final stock is made up of the following: 3 units 250.00 and 1 unit 265.00 = 1045.00Īs you can see from all 3 methods, the stock is calculated at different figures. Although it is not used much in the UK, it is worth knowing about. The difference between the FIFO and AVCO in this example is 10.96, but if the cost were much higher, it would affect the stock value much more. DateĪfter the first purchase, although the goods were purchased at 260.00, the average price was 257.692.Īfter the second purchase, the average price is adjusted again and is 262.26. Our example presumes that the average cost of the stock brought forward is £250. Using the example of keyboards above, it will look like this. The closing stock is 4 265.00 = 1060.00 What is AVCO? The first value is the oldest stock, and the second value is the most recent purchase. The sales on each date now have different values. The further 2 purchases are 260.00 and 265.00. The opening stock is purchased at 250.00 each. We will look at this in more detail by using the laptop example above but changing the cost price. This is because the prices of goods purchased may change constantly, and you must consider the changes. The First in First Out method assumes that the first item purchased is the first item sold (oldest product). We will look at the following stock valuation methods that are used to find the closing stock value: First In First Out (FIFO), the average cost (AVCO) and Last in First Out (LIFO). Stock Valuation Methods or Inventory Accounting Method It will demonstrate how they are all calculated. We will use the above example in both the LIFO, AVCO and FIFO with different purchase costs.
